Sebago Sound Texas Flood - Dumble Steel String Singer based sound clips and videos

Here are a few clips of various folks playing the Texas Flood amplifier.  Some of the clips are very informal, recorded with either a hand-held video camera or an iPhone, but give a bit of the flavor of the wide range of tones that can be dialed from directly from the amp.  Doug's clip was professionaly recorded but with no overdubbing or post processing of the base amp tone, what you hear in the video is what was coming out of the amp and speakers.

Sebago Sound Japanese Dealer Katsutoshi Shirogane playing a Texas Flood at Gelb Music in Redwood City

Katsutoshi actually owned Steel String Singer #002 at one time, having purchased the amp from a friend in Japan before the amp wound up back in the USA and in John Mayer's arsenal.  Katsutoshi gave the amp a workout and from his memory (he has a very good ear) thinks the amp captures the vibe of the original.  The very fast attack, snappy and full bottom end, and the high end sparkle all were as he remembered.  The guitar he used for these clips is made by Anderson with a bridge humbucker that really pushed the Texas Flood nicely.  For the more overdrive clips he was plugged in to the FET input and had the Rock mode switch up (which is  partial stack bypass in the Texas Flood).  The clean clip has the guitar volume backed down a bit and the preamp gain on the amp dialed down a bit as well.  The amp is running through a 2x12 loaded with Celestion G12M speakers.

Sebago Customer Terry Haitt demoning a 100W Texas Flood at Gelb Music in Redwood City CA

This version demonstrates the breakup that can be achieved by driving the amp harder and cranking up the preamp gain.  Terry is using a humbucker equippped guitar and has the preamp gain turned up.   You can hear how dynamic the amp is and how it can be controlled entirely with the guitar volume and pick attack.  This amp has the same circuit used in the clips on this page, so you can get an idea of the huge range of tones it can cover!  There are no effects or post production used on this clip, your hearing all amp.  Speaker cab is a 2x12 loaded with Celestion G12-M speakers.

Sebago Customer Briank K. demoning his 100W Texas Flood

Brian has his amp set up for more of a clean tone, keeping the preamp volume down below noon, but still using the "Rock mode" of the amp to fatten it up a bit.
